Terms and conditions

Who we are
Sweetie Treats is a trading name of BG Benton Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number [COMPANY NUMBER]. VAT number [VAT NUMBER].
Registered address: Unit 5–8, Yeowart Business Centre, Bellbrook Estate, Bell Lane, Uckfield, East Sussex, TN22 1QL.
Who can buy
We sell to businesses and to the public. You don’t need a trade account and there is no minimum order. Where these terms treat business and consumer customers differently, we say so.
Prices and VAT
Prices on the website include VAT at the applicable rate. Every order comes with a VAT invoice, so VAT-registered businesses can reclaim the VAT in the normal way.
We take care to make sure prices and product details are correct. If we find an error in the price or description of something you’ve ordered, we’ll contact you before going ahead. You can then confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it for a full refund.
Placing an order
Add items to your basket and go to checkout. After you order, you’ll receive an email confirming we’ve received it. This is not yet an acceptance of your order. A contract between us is formed when we send you an invoice or dispatch confirmation.
If we can’t supply an item, for example because of a manufacturer shortage or a price increase, we’ll contact you before dispatch and refund anything you’ve paid for items we can’t send.
Payment
We accept all major debit and credit cards. Payments are processed securely by Stripe, and we never see or store your full card details. If you pay with a card issued outside the UK, your card provider will convert the amount into your currency.
Goods remain the property of BG Benton Ltd until payment has been received in full.
Large orders
For large or regular orders, please contact us first. We can arrange delivery schedules, pallet delivery and volume pricing.
If you can’t find a product you want, ask us and we’ll try to source it for you.

Best-before dates
We aim to send all products with a reasonable shelf life, normally between 2 and 12 months or more. If dates matter to you, contact us before ordering and we’ll tell you the dates on the stock we hold.
Please report any concerns about dates within 48 hours of delivery.
Offers and best-before-end (BBE) items
Items in our Offers section may be close to, or past, their best-before-end date and are clearly marked. Food can be sold and eaten safely after its best-before date, though its taste and texture may start to change. This is different from a use-by date: we never sell food past a use-by date. The Food Standards Agency has more information.
Damaged boxes
Now and again an outer case arrives at our warehouse with cosmetic damage. We’ll only send it on if the products inside are sealed and undamaged. If you’re not happy with it, tell us and we’ll collect it and refund you in full.
Cancelling an order
You can cancel free of charge at any time before your order is dispatched. Email or call us with your order number. Once your order has been dispatched, our Returns Policy applies.
Returns, damages and shortages
How to return items or report damaged or missing goods is set out in our Returns Policy.
Our responsibility to you
If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
If you are a business customer, our total liability for any order is limited to the price paid for that order, and we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business or indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

We use your details only to process and deliver your order and, if you agree, to send you offers. See our Privacy & Cookies Policy for details.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
